A free mobile augmented reality interactive 3D coloring app that allowed users to play with the images in a narrative featuring two animated cows as part of an ongoing campaign by Norway's largest dairy producer, Tine.
For the previous Tine AR app we established the AR world as a magical layer that overlaid the real world of the user. We used the real milk carton as a hero element surrounded by the digital scene. The cows would read the text on the carton to tell the user about how milk was now local. For the coloration app we wanted to continue with the use of «magic» and let the 3d scene with the barn fall onto and enclose the real milk carton. Then the ground and ground elements would magically pop up in a similar fashion to the previous app.
The analogue experience of using a coloring book was turned into an augmented reality experience where users are able to play with the 3D scene using color to create a compelling and satisfying narrative experience.
My original concept sketches for the UX and UI for Tine Kuer. The overall concept was successfully implemented in the app but we were not able to include subtitles, a photography feature with social media integration or a help function.
